Hello,

I recently tried setting up bootcamp on my mac, though there seems to be an issue when I finish setup and the mac restarts. Once the mac restarts, I am given the option to head into setup using the disc. If I don't do this, the mac then mentions a "disc error" and then asks to press "any key" or "option key" to continue, but it won't work.
To save you the trouble, I checked and noticed my Windows XP disk is a Professional with service pack 2. Im curious why my disc hasn't worked, since my windows was considered the right windows for running setup for bootcamp. If anyone has any info or advice on whats wrong, it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.

The disc of my windows XP is legit and is not a burned copy.

Thanks in advance,

Fuji

I've seen this error when people use a XP disk that came with another computer such as a Dell or HP. This isn't the case, is it?
