I have installed XP through Bootcamp. Is there a possibility of getting a virus on the Xp partition? do I need an antivirus?

Yes, there is a real possiblity of getting a virus on bootcamp partition of XP but it cannot migrate over to the mac partition. Unless of course the virus is written for Mac OS also. I would suggest getting a free antivirus such as Avast.

It can't migrate ANYWAY, because Windows can't read HFS+ partitions without extra software.

Get AVG Free and be done with it.

You should get an antivirus. I should heed my own words as I do not have antivirus installed, though I just use my partition for gaming. I should probably do that soon and run a full scan. Just in case. AVG Free is what I always use though.
