Booting from dvd?!

    Ok, i have iMac G4 1ghz 1gb ram.
    And tiger burned on the dvd.
    When i put the dvd in, restart and push C key or Option(ALT) key,
    nothing happens.
    How can i boot from that dvd and finally install newier OSX?

    Did you burn the DVD yourself?

    Have you burnt it correctly?

    Yes i burn dvd myself.
    and i think its burned correctly
    i cant even open dvd on MAC, i just put DVD in and after few minutes
    it says You put blank cd in bla bla... and then i push ok and MAC eject
    dvd and say's that cd isnt supported for burn(something like that)

    EDIT: Ok, my DVD reader works fine -.-' ohh frustrations
    For all: i use nero>burn image to a file( i renamed .dmg to .iso ) and my dvd reader on mac cant read the <biiip> dvd-r :'(

    This is why I haven't responded! I would have at a guess that its not legal, but I'm willing to be proved wrong.

    omg it is legal i think, my friend gave it to me :S
    im not a criminal
