Booting into another mac OS via firewire.

Hi, i was wondering if it was possible to boot one mac into another mac [its OS and everything, not just it's hard-drive] through 'Target Disk Mode'.

The scenario is that we have a bunch of iMacs at work, and since an iMac can't recieve video input, i was wondering if there was some other way to work off my macbook's operating system on the iMacs' big screen 😀 .
I do Not want to simply be able to access the macbook's files on the iMac, but want to run the macbook's entire OS [otherwise some programs just don't work].

Hello.

Doesn't "Target Disk Mode" merely render the Mac as an external Firewire drive? Maybe that would be bootable to a similar system.

Maybe you could boot off of it but why not just use screen sharing?

You could share the screen with another Mac on the network and maybe use a Bluetooth KB and Mouse.

The thing with the iMacs is that we don't have administrative privelages to them so we are locked out of certain actions (like installing apps, and some network options), so i was hoping on avoiding networking options xP.

But i'll give networking, screen sharing a go xP.

If anyone has a definitive yes/no i would be really thankful =).
