    Hi,
I use Superduper to backup my Mac and was wondering if I make a bootable copy of my hard drive and then update to the Yosemite beta, will I be able to to boot up the older version of OSX on the hard drive if I need to.

    Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be a problem, but test boot the external before installing anything on the internal.

Yes, you will. But as old-wiz says, make your clone and then check that it works before installing Yosemite.
