I have had an Watch since it was first released. Originally S0 and last year upgraded to Series 3. I think I can understand why someone may find the original S0 'boring' as it is comparatively slow, just frustrating to use third party apps on it, and many of Apple's own Apps. Series 3 was a significant upgrade as the Watch is so much faster. Watch has made me more focused on keeping fitter and I still get a buzz out closing rings each day, so that in itself probably justifies the price by itself. I don't always have my phone with me and the ability to receive calls on the watch and then transfer to the phone is one of my favourite features. I have some AirPods and they work great with my watch. My other favourite feature is Pay. In the UK the vast majority of stores are contactless (although many still have a £30 limit). Just about all of my purchases in shops are with my Watch, even after all this time I still occasionally get comments from the staff, "Wow you just paid for that with your watch" type of thing. My wife never asks me the time any more as she still gets a kick on clicking on the Micky Watch face on my watch and listening to Micky's reply.
I really like the look of the new Series 4 and will probably upgrade to that at some point.
