A long while back I made all of the drawings in my sketchbook into a 5.1 surround DVD experience. ooooooooooooooh, Its a strange colorful animated experience I cant really describe. But you use the DVD remote to navigate from one "animated scene" to the next. Theres alot more to it, but thats the basic idea. Another way to get an idea of what it looks/works like is to list the various programs I used from start to finish: Illustrator for tracing drawings by hand into vectors, easier to animate than pixels, and layers to boot ArtMatic Pro for cool animated fractals, masks and overlays. Pixel Toy for real time Quicktime captures of mouse movements and audio interactivity SoundTrack for real time audio tracks to go with visuals After Effects for all the animations, filters, vector paint etc FCP for non-linear editing of some of the AE footage DVDSP to make the DVD, and all its interactive elements Fast forward to lately, I have lots more drawings to animate so I got down to, while at work of course. And I finally finished them. So I figgered why not post em here, before and after shots. Maybe it might inspire you to go from analog to digital.
