Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - ANC blows away APP

I have both QC35 from bose and APP. I tried them both on a long flight, while yes, the Bose QC35 is superior in noise cancelling and sound quality, it’s not so much better that I’m willing to dedicate space in my luggage or bag for it. It’s just way too big and I’d much rather carry the APP at just 5% of the volume in my travel bag. The Bose QC earbuds look really nice but at this point, I’m kind of done with Bose headphones and earphones. They are on a strictly quality scale slightly ahead of APP, but they strike out on convenience versus the APP. Now with spatial audio on APP, I’m happy to just go all in on Apple portable audio devices going forward. Now when it comes to home theatre sound, my Bose lifestyle system is incredible and I really enjoy watching movies on that.
I got my Bose QC ear buds Monday. I tried the medium they fell out went with the small thinking that they would fit further in the ear, Nope.
Went with the large size yesterday and haven't had a problem. They are really quiet so much better than my wife's ear pods pro.

For sports and casual listening I’ve been wanting wireless earbuds for a long time and almost bought the AAP but, 1) I still hate how they look and 2) my Apple wired earphones fall out of my ears so I don’t trust that the similar looking AAP would be any different (even with something over them to try to get them to fit better). So when Bose finally released they‘re QC earbuds I watched the many positive reviews. For me, NC is not a priority, size and fit are, so I bought the smaller and $100 cheaper Bose Sport Earbuds instead. Fit great, sound great and work great with my iPhone. Couldn’t be happier.

Sony does this too, on my XM3's it made me take a picture of my ear but ahh if Sony wants a picture of my ear, I could not care.
To be on-topic, of course, Bose is going to be the better option for ANC and sound quality. The pro's sound exactly like the 30 dollars wired version but more comfortable, it was a good deal for me since it was $90 with the education deal.
While Bose app is great, it's not something my wife would ever use. Also $169 vs $279, quite a difference. I like the Bose design, better than APP and the Soapstone color would definitely be of my wife's preference BUT a major breaker is lack of multipoint support on these latest Bose QC earbuds. That means they cannot be paired to 2 devices simultaneously, which is a shame because I had old wireless Bose Soundsport (with wire between earbuds) and it had this feature.

IF you were able to get them for $169. Let's remember normal price for APP is $249. I agree with you however regarding multipoint support. Honestly, I don't know how any wireless earbuds/headphones over $100 don't support multipoint, especially a flagship earbud like the Bose QC's. Plus the Bose 700's support multipoint connection and the QC's are supposed to be marketed towards a similar audience. One thing I have learned is there is no silver bullet when it comes to headphones/earbuds. They all have their pros and cons. All of them.
