The second half of Tim Cook's extensive interview with Charlie Rose has been released online, which means that both parts are now viewable for those who haven't seen it. Both interviews are available on Hulu and Charlie Rose's website (via Daring Fireball). However, Hulu limits the interviews to those in the United States.

The first half of the interview, has Cook speaking about Steve Jobs, the acquisition of Beats as well as Apple's interest in television alongside some thoughts on management from the Apple CEO. The second half of the interview, has Cook talking about privacy and how the Cupertino company does not try to collect data on its users.

The second interview, below, also features a segment with notable designer Yves Behar, who has designed numerous iPhone-connected products like the Jawbone and Vessyl Smart Cup.

Those who cannot watch the interview on Hulu can watch both parts on Charlie Rose's website.

The Charlie Rose site also blocks viewers outside the United States. In fact, the video on the site is simply an embed of the Hulu-hosted interview.

Second part was not very interesting. Cook's delivery has improved significantly. Content, meh

I think that Tim Cook represents the company very well. Sure, he's not Steve Jobs, but he still seems like a great CEO.

I watched this last night, and a couple things he said about the watch now have me kind of interested. I knew there would be some functionality without an iPhone, but Tim confirmed that sensors/fitness AND music would work without it. Being able to go for a run, have fitness tracking and music without a large (iphone 6 or 6+) phone strapped to my arm is exciting (Geez, I need to get out more).

I guess I need to shop for some bluetooth headphones.

I agree. You can see that he feels the intense pressure to fill Steve's shoes in the eyes of both the customers and the investors, but it seems like over time he's becoming more and more comfortable in his role of "the guy who replaced Steve Jobs" and it's showing. He seems more relaxed now when he's in the spotlight, and more willing to let his own personality and intellect shine through.

I didn't have the impression that he ever considered that as "pressure". Listen to the interview again. Some interesting things he said. One is that to be successful, you have to discard noise. If customers or press or investors think he should fill Steve Jobs' shoes, that's just noise that he ignores.

Another that he has not the slightest interest in filling Steve Jobs' shoes. They stay unfilled, just like his office isn't used. He doesn't try to be a copy of Steve Jobs, he tries to be the best Tim Cook he can be. Interestingly, he also said that there is no second Tim Cook in his team, and that nobody wants one. When Tim Cook goes, someone else will take over who isn't anything like Steve Jobs, or anything like Tim Cook, and it will work just fine.

Indeed

Tim Cook is a very capable man. I looked on the internet to see anyone else who can take lead but i didn't saw anything.

That's why he is the Apple CEO. Apple looked on the internet to see anyone else who can take the lead but didn't see anything. :p

Seriously, if you listen to the interviews and listen carefully what Tim Cook says, he says that there are several people at Apple you _could_ fill the role of the CEO - but he's got the job right now.
