Bottom case part for MBP 15" ?

    I need to grab a new bottom case for my MBP 15" 2 ghz, i7 quad core (early 2011)
    A1286
    MC721LL/A
    0718908990094, 0885909431618

    can I use any part from a MBP 15"? Also is this model the unibody?

    i see all kinds of makes/models.....

    can someone steer me in the right direction?

    Yes it's the unibody model. You could contact an Apple authorized service center and see if they'll order one based on your serial number.

    its a 2011 model. dont think think its covered....

    can i buy any bottom from the year or the mbp 15 inch model, or are they all specific?

    No it's not going to be covered but some places will sell parts to users. They can look up every part available for your computer using the serial number. This will ensure you get the correct part for your MacBook Pro.

    I don't think they've changed them, but it is possible that a screw location moved a fraction of a mm between generations, and that would cause problems.
