bottom case seems not to fit exactly

I noticed that the bottom case does not fit exactly.

What can I do to achieve this?

Is the Macbook a new or used purchase?

Have you tried removing it and gently bending the bottom casing?

its an old 2011. I opened it and pressed it into the - what's the word for it?

If it bothers you, I would bend it a bit to see if that helps.

I bought a used 2010 15" that a person had dropped and dented a corner. I gently hammered out the frame, bent and sanded the bottom case, reattached, and covered everything with a case and it looks great.
