Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could give me some input...

The bottom row of my iPod (closest to the Home button) is unresponsive from time to time and also has spasms when I try touching buttons around it. This problem persists in pretty much any app and keyboard (ex. return, spacebar, bottom buttons in Safari, answer/decline call buttons). The only time it does work is when I need to slide to unlock or answer.

I've done the diagnostics the Apple site told me (reset, restore, etc.). I've also gone to the Apple Store once, and unfortunately it was working fine at that time, so it was a bit tricky to justify my problem. The Apple Genius listed different causes to the problem, etc etc, and went to the back to "pop it open" and fix anything that's wrong, if anything. (I've never dropped it or got it wet. I actually received this current iPhone in exchange for a previously defective one very recently.) So he was back there for about 5-a little less than 10min and came back out saying I'm good to go. It's important to note that it was working fine when I went there in the first place, so I really couldn't tell if he fixed it. It still doesn't work. I called an Apple Expert for further information and he pretty much told me to get the Apple Care plan. I don't believe I need to pay $59 for something I don't feel like I need and something that isn't my fault. Should I keep going back to the store until they fix it?

Yeah, I'm probably going to go back sometime this week... I'm crossing my fingers for real solution from them, unlike last time. Thanks!
