Bottom Safari Bar

What is that silver bar at the bottom that says what a link is when you hold your mouse over it? I do not want it there, and it wasn't there earlier today so I must have pressed something. How do I get it away?

It drives me crazy when it is off. It gives quite a bit of information down there.

You can also toggle the display of the "Status Bar" in Safari's "View" menu.
