Bought 16" MBP would you sell your 2013 or 2017 off ?

i own both the 2013 & 2017 15" Macbook Pro's... just purchased the the 16". I'm the fence which one to sell off... i love my 2013 and was thinking of changing out the SSD to an NVMe... kinda hard to choose... Love the 2017 (hate the keyboard) but its newer... oh the conundrum!!!!

Do you need more than one laptop? I would sell them and pick up an iPad for some Sidecar action.

yup... i need it for backup purposes. (Mobile DJ) i own a iPad pro as well.

In that case I would sell the 2013. When software gets updated I imagine it would be easier to keep feature parity between the two with the later model.

I would sell the newer one because it will be worth more, and it’s very similar to the 16”. The 2013 has different ports which might be useful in some cases, and will still function as a backup if that’s what you need.

I'd sell the 2017.

Reason:
Potential of "KeyGate" in the years ahead.

Keep the 2013 as your spare.

I’d sell the 2017. That’s one of the really bad years for production quality. Flexgate scares me when I see 2016 and 2017 models...
