So the sim card which was left in the phone is still active through AT&T
I checked using *MIN# and *BAL# and it is a monthly plan not just a Pay as you go sim. I even tried to make a call and it works fine.....

Interesting no ?

Lol wow... that's ridiculous.
Some people.............

lol just call another phone and then walk away. Rack up his bill a bit and teach him a lesson.

Two options:
1) Be a nice guy. Doesn't matter how stupid the previous owner was, give him/her a call so he/she can call ATT to deactivate the simcard. (I'd do this, if I were you...)

2) Awesome!!!! Free virtually unlimited international phone calls!!!! (Not suggesting this!)

1 - I don't know their number

2 - see post above - international calls are blocked

3 - they ripped me off on ebay - claimed all original accessories were included including the dock : no dock included AND they sent a firewire cable !!!

So, anyone else got any ideas ? ;)

If you know someone with free unlimited incoming minutes or just unlimited minutes, just ask him to answer your call and leave it. They should rack up pretty fast.

Other than that, if there was someway that you could find out that phones number, and figure out what they don't have included with their plan, just use them. Everything they don't have should add up pretty fast.

What do you want??? Just take the sim out and return it to AT&T.

Just because he didn't send the dock doesn't give you the right to try and rip him off. Did you try to ask about the dock?

Man, it's really easy. Just do the right thing.

QFT.

OP, think how you'd feel if the roles were reversed.

Hate to break it to you buddy, but you probably have a stolen phone.

And how would this be the ethical way to proceed? Causing someone else financial pain for no personal gain at all must be one of the more useless ways to give more money to AT&T. If You are concerned with T's health, why not just write them a check yourself?

Ask the person about the dock first. If he says something like oops, I'll send it right away, then say "Hey, I also noticed you left an activated sim in there.. etc" If he doesn't respond at all or says something like i forgot but doesn't want to send it, do what you please :)

DO THE RIGHT THING!

Why is this world filled with people that like to treat others in a way that they woud NOT want to be treated?

Hasn't anyone tried to call the number yet??? No wonder he sold the phone ... He doesn't have any friends ... LOL ....

If it's stolen, the person who owned it will try calling it once in a while. Just take the sim out and trash it. Or sent it to me and I'll trash it for you ;)

Given that the seller did not have any of the accessories and it still has a functional SIM with it, I'm going to have to agree that you just purchased a stolen phone.

stolen stolen stolen.

it would be bad enough to screw over the seller, but you'd almost certainly be screwing over some poor guy who already got his phone stolen.

assuming its not stolen, it prolly is. but you could start a txt convo i mean after the 200 its some good money just talk to ur aim name
