Hate to break it to you buddy, but you probably have a stolen phone.

Yep my thoughts too! May explain missing accessories ie. dock

I suggest you stop making calls for various reasons.
1) The SIM is not yours
2) Its still active to track where the phone is
3) Do the right thing

do the right thing and u may be rewarded. Guy might give you money. ATT or Apple may replace it with a new one..?? who knows. KARMA. What would you want someone to do if they bought an iphone that was stolen from you? Be an adult.

1 - I don't know their number

2 - see post above - international calls are blocked

3 - they ripped me off on ebay - claimed all original accessories were included including the dock : no dock included AND they sent a firewire cable !!!

So, anyone else got any ideas ? ;)

File a complaint on eBay for false description. Whilst that's going through, make some serious premium rate calls.

In some way....and somehow....Karma will bite you on the neck if you continue to use this phone.

The OP should think long and hard before running this bill. There are now records that tie him to this phone on the dates the calls might be made.

I am amazed that people have to ask "What should I do"????? What has happened to our society.

Yeah you're right, I was just kidding. The best thing to do would be to file a complaint on eBay and ring the network service provider regarding the unterminated contract.

ANd good news for you is that even if you leave a negative feedback for the seller, he cannot, under any circumstances, leave one for you under the new guidelines. Normally screws us sellers who are on the up and up, but it's an advantage if the seller is crooked.

Really think do you really think a stolen cellphone sim card would work for so long. Try calling apple and give them the serial number and tell them that you bought the phone on eBay and you would like to know if it is stolen. Going to AT&T won't work they won't tell you crap unless you state id showing your the account holder. Call 611 it will tell you what type of account it is postpaid or prepaid.

Well here it is this is what has happened so far.

I emailed the guy and asked for the dock etc. He was very apologetic, and sent me all the missing accessories. They all came and we both exchanged positive feedback. So this assures me that it isn't a stolen phone. They actually got a new iphone 3G hence the reason for selling this one.
However I am not going to use the card, I am just interested in how long AT&T leaves these active - since they give you a new sim when you get a 3G phone.

To this day, it still works, although I have only tried it to use the edge internet, no phone calls or texts.
