Actually… it doesn't bother me very much when I break my own things. I have scratches and cracks in my iPhone 3G case and screen, but I still love it. It was flawless when I got it, so it's great. Just as long as I don't put 3.0 or 3.1 on it, I think I'll be all set.

I loving my new MacBook too!

You're kidding right?!

first of all, nobody care your story. why did you post it here? try to be impressed us? of course, this forum is free. whatever you want, you can post anything about mac or iphone, ipod. but there is no perfect device that always makes you satisfied. if anything is just working great, it's just fine. just get over it. you are not only one who is sensitive on screen.

I have to hand it to you sir. With as much crap as our fellow macrumors regulars are throughing at you, you have done an amazing job at keeping your cool. Many people would have gotten very very defensive to some of the fun people are poking at you and you have kept very calm. Most people on the web blow up and turn everything into a verbal lashing.

BTW I'm writing you this with my new 64gb touch that has a flawless screen:D

personally i probably wouldnt have gone to the limits the OP did but if youve ever paid for an apple product with a screen that was less than good then you should be applauding the fact that someone is counting quality. how else can they (apple inc) make decisions about what standards to follow other than by counting the products that people have returned.
one other good thing about this thread was that it showed us who some of the time wasters are who do nothing but complain about other peoples comments.

one comment to the OP that I would like to make is that especially long winded posts will never help your cause.

What kind of TV? I like my 50" Vizio LCD, I like it a lot. I cannot imagine, after reading your adventures of iPods and iPhones and whatnot, you putting up with less than a perfect TV... so which one did you end up with, and how many tries did it take before you got the "perfect" one?
Vizio? Ignorance is bliss I suppose. If you like that Vizio, you should try a Sony XBR or similar, something with real black levels, real colors, and a decent refresh rate.

Sounds like you have more money than sense.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I wasted 2 minutes reading this and gained no value. It was the dumbest story (I mean, from an iPod Touch to a Macbook. . .?!?!?!)

Damn you are a finicky mess.

Next time, have something relevant in your rant.

Why are you folks bashing this guy. He's keeping the economy rolling by spending his hard earned cash. So he's picky. So what. As much as apple charges for these things, I would return it too if it had a flaw. (Oh, I forgot, you fanboys out there believe apple never has a flaw).

my crystal ball tells me you're going to regret asking that question.

Nah... I'm not going to get into it again. There's plenty of information out there to read... no sense in arguing with people over it.
