Bought a Kindle from eBay UK - turns out "lost or stolen" - seller has been made aware, have reported to Police and to PayPal - am going to open PayPal dispute when time has elapsed enough (7 days from purchase).

I live in the UK, and I hate to think that someone, somewhere is without their Kindle. Police have advised I keep hold of it for now and do not return to seller... does anyone think PayPal will cover this and refund me? Seller has said they will wait for PayPal to decide, but PayPal say they will almost positively refund me and debit the refund from the seller anyway... talk about long winded, LOL.

Any advice, based on experience? Many thanks :)

Could be a variety of reasons that mods can see that you can't.

One could be the use of an IP address where someone had been banned before.

I tend to assume they did a big no-no in another part of the forum but it got deleted when the user was banned. If I was a mod I'd archive the juicy ones in a special locked section of the forum for us to see :D

eBay and Paypal have strong buyer protection. If it's categorized as lost or stolen, I believe you'll get your refund.
