Sorry, but did nobody see this coming? Honestly, what did you expect? People here have been saying for weeks, if you could've waited, you should've.

Regardless, you have the same computer today as you did yesterday. Nothing to be pissed about.

And I bought my iPhone 3g in March, and I don't regret it at all. I knew there'd be a new version this summer, but honestly couldn't have cared any less. The iPhone 3g suits me well, and it'll continue to do so.

Maybe he listened to all of the old timers on the forum who repeatedly told people that there was NO way apple would EVER introduce new hardware at the WWDC. I'm not naming names, but they know who they are...:p

I'm just really glad I don't even have to face the possibility of living in regret over not getting my money's worth.

I can't even fathom living with regret over a computer. Especially when the new 'Pro' 13-inch machine does absolutely nothing better than my 2.0 13-inch MacBook.

You are the epitome of everything I just touched on. If anyone on this earth is going to drop five grand for a computer, or ANYTHING, why on this green earth would you not research it first!? Again, if you had read MacRumors at all, the date for WWDC09 has been known since the close of WWDC08. 100% your fault.

Read. For the love of God, people. Read.

LOL. Right on, man.

ok so at the begining of may i ordered the 17in macbook pro max'd out i paid close to 5,000 here are the specs

17 in anti-glare
2.93 ghz
8 gig ram
320 gig hd @ 7200
apple care

now they offer
17in anti glare
3.06
8gig
500 gig @ 7200
apple care
Plus a free ipod touch

for like 600 bucks cheaper!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

I wouldn't be so mad except i got the computer a month after it was orderd and two weeks later they updated the products.

Do you think i can take it to my local apple store and see if they'll give me a free ipod touch.?

Also the screen scrambles a bit at start up and lags when editing hd video! other wise a good mac

Well you are within the warranty for the scramble issue, as far as the iPod touch, good luck, but can you honestly go back and ask for the iPod tho, you bought the Mac knowing there wasn't a promo going on and you were happy, now they update the Mac and give you an iPod and now you are unhappy, at some point Apple needs to have a cut-off, it may sound rude but oh well too bad, otherwise everyone will go back weeks and months demanding the current promo.

$5000 for a laptop is pretty steep, if you can afford that than $600 shouldn't be that big a deal.

If you can't handle the fact that new computers will replace what you have now at any given moment, you shouldn't be investing in them.

If the idea of apple putting all sales on hold at every reseller around the world for two months sounds crazy to you, then you shouldn't complain about apple "screwing you"

I just wish someone at the apple store could have mentioned that they might be rolling out new ones this soon. But on the other hand, maybe they just didn't know when they would be doing so.

Apple is one of the companies that I deal with as a consumer that does an excellent job of keeping secrets, secret. About the only things most Apple Employees knew was when WWDC was scheduled. Of course WWDC is when new products are announced, and sometimes released.

Even i was a victim of buying a unibody macbook right before the pro came out. im sooo disappointed that I could have got a way better processor, more ram, a better screen, a better battery, firewire, and an SD slot.

yah at first i was sad when the new 13" aluminum pros were announced since i bought mine 2 weeks before that. but when i looked at it, the only thing i would have really wanted was the backlit keyboard.

but yes, everyone is right, we still have a pretty friggin good computer. the thing that bothers me now is the free ipod touch if you buy a mac for school (which i did). i missed that by like 7 days.

well, lesson learned. i should have joined this forum before purchasing. but now that i'm on this i'll be better prepared for next time.
