I bought an iMac on Thursday May 07 from my local campus in Reno Nv. I did not get any kind of tracking number. I want to know what kind of wait should I be anticipating? It said 3-5 days shipping on Thursday, and now says "same day shipping". So how long do computers take to get to their destinations on average? Is there a chance I will get a call next week? I did upgrade the hard drive (don't know if it matters).

Actually Thursday was May 5th. I take it that you ordered via the online educational Apple Store. You should receive an E.Mail to confirm your order. Then a message will be sent when your order is processing. When they say it is shipping the amount of time will depend on the shipping choice that you selected. If you haven't heard anything you should give Apple a call.
Actually I ordered it from the campus bookstore, so they did not give me any kind of tracking number 🙁
