Bought at ATT can I exchange at Apple?

My iPhone screen is darker towards the top and therefore I wanna exchange it, could I just take it to the Apple Store even though I bought it from ATT?

You can do a genius swap, but not an exchange for a new unit.

get a refurb unit at genius bar. I dont think they give you a brand new one. But you are within 14-day window so could you ask AT&T for a new one?

Make an appointment for a Genius on the Apple website. Take it in to an Apple store and they will replace it with a new one. It's too early for them to have refurbished phones. They probably have a stock of new ones for that purpose.

Yea, I swapped mine out at the Genius bar on Saturday. They gave me a unit that wasn't in a retail box but they said it was brand new as refurb units don't yet exist.

If you want the Iphone numbers to match your box numbers go to AT&T and they will give you a new one to match. I am ocd about that. When its time to sell atleast ur numbers will match up.

I've sold six iPhones, and none of the buyers cared if the numbers matched up. In fact, none of the buyers even cared if I had the box.

As of right now, if you do ANY Genius bar swaps/exchanges, they will be for new units. They have no refurbs to use for swapouts at this point in time.

And yes, no matter where you bought the device (AT&T, Best Buy, Craigslist, etc.), the warranty is covered by Apple.

Come ON now if you buy a iphone on ebay at least make sure that the box is there. It tells you how the previous owner treated his iphone on how the box looks at least. Everybody knows that you get more money if you have the box.

This is from the ATT website. It doesn't say anything about the iphone 4 and I am not sure what premier will do. I have tried calling but get disconnected due to high call volume
