Bought new MacBook Pro today

I just bought my MacBook Pro today 2.4 Penryn. I had a question. I am using it as a replacement desktop and was wondering if I should leave the charger plugged in while I use it or should I drain it and then charge it?

completely drain the battery the 1st time then recharge it and just leave it plugged in for use the rest of the way.

Congrats - whats the reason for the drain of the battery - is this for calibration or to maximize life?

No need to 1st time-completely-drain with a lithiumjon-battery (wrong spelled) ^^ It runs in cycles hich means doesnt matter if you drain it first time or not. Altho, to make sure it stays good as long as possible, drain the battery completely once a month so it doesnt drain itself when youre not using it so often.
