Restore DVDs are machine specific, so you can only use them on the exact same model.

What about contacting Apple and getting replacement DVDs for that model of yours? They should be the Mac OS X 10.5.x restore DVDs.

i went ahead and loaded up my CS3 on snow leopard. i mainly use photoshop and dreamweaver. i don't want to jinx my self, but i haven't seen a problem yet.....i probably will now. haha

i will try out lightroom (first release) next.

i may have to start another thread for this question, but. ill ask it here.

ok so like i mentioned before i have 2x 500gb 7200 hard drives i want to install in this 13" macbook pro. i ordered the mce optibay, should be here in a couple days. i already loaded up all my apps like cs3 and did all the updates with snow leopard, and if things seem to work fine, ill probably just keep snow leopard.

can i just duplicate the current hard drive that came installed that i have now updated everything and installed apps on and contains the OS. as in can i just clone it over to one of the new hard drives and switch them out. or will it prevent me from cloneing the OS and CS3 and such.

will i have to get one of those programs like carbon cloner or whatever its called?

thanks

If you have a time machine, just use that. Its painless.

its a lot easier to ask people online....its pretty much the only social interaction i get. why would i waste time searching through a manual when i can post my question here, and have an answer with in seconds, while i spend my time doing other things that need to be done. when someone else knows the answer and has free time they can post the answer. i thought that was the point of forums.

Because we are paid on salary and typically goof off without doing much, so there are periods where doing your own research will get you an answer relatively quick.

But for ez ones like this then...yeah...

oh and stop being so anti-social. have a nice day.

:D
