    Hi,

like in topic. I'm getting results: up to 290mb/s write, up to 497mb/s read
and I saw on many screens of samsung 840 pro benchmark write around 450mb/s.
It's still pretty damn fast, but since I saw the difference I want to confirm.. Can I do/test something? :D

What MacBook Pro model did you put it in? Is it an older one with SATA II instead of the newer SATA III?

are you sure that you got an 840 pro? Those numbers are similar to an 840.

However, it could be something as simple as another process or program accessing the SSD at the same time as the benchmark.

Pretty sure. I paid for it like for pro, it shows "pro" in system information:

I just tried it after booting - without any other active program running.
I don't have enabled trim (just tried to enabling it and after reboot it's still disabled)

TRIM is likely the reason, as it affects write speeds. Did you try the Trim Enabler? Worked on my Samsung 830.

Maybe this has something to do:
    sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
kext org.virtualbox.kext.VBoxUSB 402169000 is in exception list, allowing to load
kext org.virtualbox.kext.VBoxDrv 402169000 is in exception list, allowing to load
LittleSnitch.kext is in exclude list; omitting.
kext com.jmicron.JMicronATA 101069000 is in exception list, allowing to load
    WARNING - Invalid signature -67054 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA12 for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext"
    (...)

    ----------

yeah. Trim Enabler shows "on" when I open it. Restart - still disabled
I tried also patching /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOAHCIBlockStorage.kext/Contents/MacOS/IOAHCIBlockStorage file manually, reboot - still disabled.
