I just bought a second Mag safe power adapter for my MBP 13" late 2009. But I screwed with the order, and instead of a 60W model, I ordered a 85W one (which is teh one used for the 15", I saw later).
So the question is, can I use it to charge my battery, of it will burn out?

You can use a charger which supplies more power than you need (the MacBook will just take what it needs), but not one that supplies less.

13" users can use 60W or 85W chargers. 15-17" users should not use the 60W charger though from what I've read.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3Gs: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; Nexus One Build/FRF50) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

If I understand correctly, a 60w charger will keep it alive but wont charge...

A 60W charger works with Macs that need more power, they even charge them, just slower.

I have a 13" MacBook (Mid-2008) and a 2009 17" MBP, and I change chargers all the time, as one is at work, two are at home.

The only thing a 60w charger won't do for an 85w machine is charge it while it is consuming power. I suspect that the 60w charger will trickle charge (very slow charge, normally used from 80% to 100%) but not fast charge (0% to 80%), but I haven't verified that personally.

An 85w charger will work flawlessly with a 60w machine. I have used only 85w chargers in my house between a macbook and MBP for years.
