How will you be spending your Boxing Day?
Shopping? Looking at your gifts from Christmas?

I'll be watching the 2006 IIHF World Juniors.

Most Americans will spend that day returning gifts, Buying more crap and recovering from the Christmas Day banquet.

Boxing Day is the day after Christmas when you put all your presents back in their boxes. 🙂

... what is boxing day?

I feel so sheltered😱

People go out, shop, return gifts etc. It's the day right after Christmas, usually quite a few sales going on.

And then give them to someone else that you did not see on Christmas Day. 😀

Will my mum want that leather whip and mask set though...

You've never asked. 😛

Well, there goes all hope that you might hit for the other team. 🙄 😛

I wish I could go lay on a beach...without getting rolled back into the sea. 😀

Sorry, never any hope there. I love my lady. 😀

Okay, that's the funniest thing I've read in a long time! 😀

You know it's unwarranted though.

Boxing Day

The day after Christmas, the Feast of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr, is better known as Boxing Day. The term may come from the opening of church poor boxes that day; maybe from the earthenware boxes with which boy apprentices collected money at the doors of their masters' clients.

Nowadays, we often see, in certain families, gifts (boxes) given to those who provide services throughout the year.

"Boxing Day" is listed in the Canada Labour Code as a holiday.

Well unless they get my back fixed proper. 🙄

I'll just have to hit the tanning bed at the gym...after I do my pansie excercises that I am limited to.

Blah.

Boxing Day - In Australia, too?

I thought that was any day with beer in it.. 😀

😀

Not far from the truth. Apparently we have the most public holidays in the world. I love a sunburnt country...

I have to go to my sister's in-laws for dinner. Apparently I'm to provide moral support in case they take over trying to plan her wedding...

I have nothing in common with them and it's going to be awful... perhaps I'll take a hipflask and keep drinking to get through it. 😉 It's really not fair when you have to put up with someone else's inlaws; I thought not having them was a perk of being single!
