Like I said, it is blatantly obvious that the ad is fake. That faded picture of the Apple logo has been floating around the interwebs for years, I even had it as my phone background a while back. Apple PR never uses Google image search content in the making of ads:

I just came back from my local Apple store and picked up a 27" i5. On the way home (read rss feed at red lights) I see this: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/11/16/apples-black-friday-deals-leaked/

If this is true, am I screwed? Would apple ever give that discount to someone who just bought an iMac within 14 days of a sale?

Should I open the i5 and enjoy, or wait the 12 days in hopes of getting a store credit or return and re-buy with discount?
