She reminds me of Amanda Congdon - minus the wit, charm, humor and zaniness.

I haven't visited c|net since 1999, oddly at the same I switched to Macs.

I haven't actively visited their site since they discontinued the CatchUP service, which provided links to software updates on Windows systems. They discontinued it without any explanation a few years back.

Jeez remarks about Everybody Loves Raymond and a Wizard? Get some respected material and hire someone who can show a little expression and doesn't sound like a news caster from CNN. Hell serious newscasters show better expressions than that. That is without doubt the most idiotic clip I have ever seen. I laughed a lot throughout the clip....not at the "witty" remarks, but at how confoundly fake they all seemed coming out of that woman's mouth.

i remember back when the iPod was Mac only... Every reveiw you read of the iPod listed a "con" of the product being that is wasnt windows compatible. Yet never once have I ever read a reveiw of a piece of PC hardware that listed a con as not compatible with Mac. EVER.

*shrug* I'm not enough of a fanboy to bash C|Net purely because they tend to be anti-Apple.... Occasionally some good information comes out of them. They're a resource. They're hardly the NYT or WSJ of tech news, but I don't really feel like anyone else is, either.

That was the most boring video I've ever seen , the Steve Jobs comments were ridiculous, I mean don't people wash their ears? So I'm confused about how it's actually gross. Molly is a joke who should be sacked.

I have (for example this one, and this one), CNet's reviews are usually quite good

And i hope that Molly chick gets fired, i hate her.
Yeah, what a b*tch!

But most of CNETs other stuff is ok, particularly their reviews, where they dont have clowns like this wh*re!

I think they have a bias towards and against several types of products, and I haven't taken much stock in their reviews for years. That woman in particular though, needs to be smacked. Not because of what she said about Jobs' comment, but because she's so freaking phony sounding and clearly thinks she's hilarious and witty. It looks like it was done by someone who failed out of high school theater class.

She does think that she's funny as heck, that's for sure. I was waiting for the rimshots when she delivered her lines and then accented them with a grimace.

BTW, she saved her best grimace for her crack about sharing earwax with Jobs. That grosses her out, but she probably wouldn't have a second thought about swapping spit or other bodily fluids with him.

Molly doesn't bother me. I make fun of the same things she does.

But I bet you make fun of them in like, a funnier way.

The writing behind that skit was dreadful, and the delivery was very ... anti-deadpan.

I actually like CNET and go there everyday. So they dont praise Apple ALL the time, big deal. i still think they're OK people. The iPod usually gets an editors choice from them though. In fact, i'd go as far as saying they're Apple fans (Molly owns a mac as does Belmont & Merritt) just not biased. They make fun of most companies...Dell/HP/Sony AND Apple.

Molly owns a mac as does Belmont & Merritt. I dont why the OP has beef but hey what do i know

Wow. I have no idea how it must feel to be this insecure. There needs to be a seperate classification between the two types of mac users because people who react this are the reason we all get the reputation of being stuck up bigots.

Face it, this thread (and the other one about this video) shows exactly why it's justified :p

Thats just good wholesome family fun. Right there it is, yup.

Just like when that Frenchguywhat'sname bashed Vista at WWDC.
Good wholesome family values.

Sharing you earbuds? Gross.
I prefer Microsoft's method.

And remember kids, brush your teeth!

Wow, if Mac users remind me of anyone, it's Republicans. They can't accept any criticism of their country, call anyone who defies authority a traitor, and blindly follow the leadership of a self-styled demi-god. I like CNet's reviews of Apple products because they are NEVER unwilling to point out a products shortcomings. They demand the best from a company like Apple, because they've come to expect so, and want it to be the best company it can be. Furthermore, Jobs' comment in that piece was really asinine. So technology that's just breaking the surface with limited capabilities has to be absolutely perfect? I guess the only computer company that can be criticized is Microsoft, because they're teh man, and it's always fun to bash the big boys.

There are still people who go to cnet? I gave up on that website ages ago, even before i got a mac.

I saw the video and CNET is just playing around. Don't take it so serious.

I know. Jobs made a joke, and now Cnet is making a joke. It seems like no one can ever make fun of Apple without fans flipping out.

Wasn't funny, Apple fanboy or not-just cheezy. She's also f-ugly. Molly "Wood" definately does not live up to her name.

Who cares if they make fun of Apple and the iPod. Everybody hates Goliath.

I only ever visit cnet to see reviews of non-apple tech products (printers, cameras, etc), so I don't really care. If they do have a blatant, unfounded bias against particular brands (apple or other) then shame on them - they're a worse site for it.

I like the video reviews where they showcase a product. Don't really care about the rating, but nice to see a potential future purchase on film instead of stills.

Sure don't hope Cnet implements this (to me) new concept. Not informative/funny/relevant in any way.
