Hello, this is not a troll thread or malicious thread.. but I'd like to share with fellow Apple fans my experience with the case maker Speck.

First of all, they make, what I consider to be the best cases in terms of style / protection and reasonable price and have been around since the original iPhone days which was where my loyalty to them began. I've had a Speck case on my iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 6+ and now SE...

I'm a UK customer and ordered my case direct from their store in January 2017. For the first time last August I had to make a warranty claim to them, so I used the website and emailed. I was ignored three times doing this. Had to try contact them on social media and they referred me to their UK site... submitted many more claims that were ignored. Once I was processed through to the point of being asked to choose a replacement case but again the emails stopped coming back to me and now I am well over the one year warranty period I doubt they'll do anything more.

This is appalling, I mean they get away with it because they have no formal UK operations for me to put a complaint in against... but an otherwise great reputable company has let down a loyal fan and advocate of their cases from shocking lack of customer care...

Has anybody else outside of the US had this issue? I'm so disappointed in Speck. I cannot recommend a company with such poor customer case to anyone regardless of how good the product. I use the SE with no case now but what a shame.

I had something similar happen with two Nomad cases I ordered from America, both arrived and both were faulty or just badly designed as you couldn't use the volume buttons. Multiple ignored emails but I used PayPal so just sent my dispute to them and got both refunded, they didn't even reply to PayPal?!?

It is great to see small companies benefit massively and grow due to developing accessories to things like the iPhone and I was always proud to use their products, but it seems the downside is lack of support. It's a shame. I've jumped to Incase now to see if they're any better.

At least I'm not the only one who had this experience. I wondered if I was being irrational or an exceptional case, but nope seems to be lacking part of their operations.. sadly.
