You're wrong, but don't let that stop you

This picture says it very succinctly. Also, stop hating the tool for how some use it...

I don't think you're going to get anywhere. Why do you think I stopped responding?
I know, but it has been a mission of mine for many years to educate people when they believe this bull. I actually got through to someone once. If I can educate just a few people, it makes it all worth it. The real downside of the internet is people think they know everything. I swear, the internet has made people dumber. I have to fight the good fight though.

You're not educating anybody, you're convincing people to ingest garbage.. Using the word 'Science' as a validation for your opinion is ludicrous.
There is no way a seed spliced with e.coli to insert a pesticide directly into the seed which can never be washed off is the same as a natural seed. These are products that don't exist anywhere in nature
We weren't built to ingest man made chemicals and food and GMOs are no where near close to natural.
There's a reason countries are banning them and banning chemicals like glyphosate. Their governments actually care about their people, unlike ours.
Our cancer rate is through the roof, as are degenerative diseases, auto-immune diseases and GI Tract diseases.

I really don't want to hijack this thread, because we are way off topic, and there is a LOT to unpack there in your post, but natural doesn't automatically mean its good for you, and synthetic doesn't automatically mean its bad. Your body doesn't know the difference between natural and synthetic. There are plenty of synthetic pesticides that are harmless to mammals, but horrible for certain bugs and there are many natural pesticides that can make you very ill. Finally, we weren't built at all. We are the product of a long chain of beneficial mutations.
Back on topic... I would love to try these headphones since apple isn't selling their's yet. Anyone know where I can get a pair?

Well, I agree with this post so I guess we should end it here

Review of the Bragi "Headphone":

http://www.theverge.com/2016/11/22/13714268/bragi-headphone-wireless-earbuds-review-bluetooth-dash

Looks like they solved the connectivity issues. A bit disappointing that the earbuds apparently do not turn off automatically when you put them back into their case.
the dash has fixed this issue with the 2.2 update

on the 2.2 update it lets you tap your face to access siri which is good and at least you can skip songs and turn volume up on the bragi.

i have decided i'm going to buy these shortly and see how it goes

Looking forward to getting my The Headphone (a bit like Ferrari's The Ferrari). I have had a couple of times when the Dash have not had the battery life I needed - mainly during a long visit to the Mall by myself. The Headphone will be an excellent back up to The Dash.

Shame about the two week delay in delivery.

early reviews say very good

looks like the headphone could be a great option to airpods from the sounds.

If The Headphone are as good as my Dash or better then Apple wil need to look over their shoulder at the competition (that is a shoulder unecumbered by wires).

I know exactly how RF strength works. ... Especially because the freq is in a safe range that is orders of magnitude lower than anything that can hurt you. ... but there is nowhere near enough power in 1000 of those headphones to raise the temp of your ear even 1º.

You haven't really heard what I've said at all, huh? What does the above have to do with epigenetic impact? Do you even know what that is?

GMO's are safe. How do you people go around life without a basic understanding of science amazes me.

Same here. Some GMOs *MIGHT* be safe. The point is, we (including the best scientists) don't know. We *KNOW* there will be an impact, but can only guess about what it will be, depending on the particular modification.

On the other hand, we *DO KNOW* about some particular food people have been eating for centuries. Once it's modified, through natural or genetic manipulation, it's going to interact differently with other genes it comes into contact with. Again, that might be a good or bad interaction... we wouldn't have any way of knowing without long-term, well-controlled studies (which are VERY hard to do).

No, you can't trot out as many scientists that will say GMOs are inherently bad as scientists...

DON'T KNOW! The ones saying they are safe have been paid by the food companies, or they're behind on their science.

*Sigh* Its sad. You have such a irrational fear of what you don't understand that you try to scare others. You accuse scientists of lying just because their data doesn't agree with your irrational viewpoint or they are being paid to do their research. You fear corporations and accuse them of wrongdoing without evidence. That's not to say that they are totally innocent, just no evidence that they are doing anything wrong here. We should be cautious when using any new technology, but we have been, and the science is sound. I pity you... and I wish you would stop spreading fear.

I'm talking about the science... no irrational fear here.

But, there are a lot of scientists who aren't up on the latest science. Just like nearly a decade ago when everyone said I was irrational because I was listening to a few scientists saying 'Junk DNA' wasn't actually junk. It just took that supposedly correct majority that long to catch up. You're just terribly behind, my friend.

(Note, I'm not saying anyone - or at least many - are lying. They're simply uninformed, or sometimes biased by their research programs, especially in areas like medicine and nutrition. I can point you to some articles if you like... as the actual research has also been done on the inaccuracy of peer review in the medical field.)

Yeah... sure. This is the problem with the internet. Everybody thinks they are an expert. People want to point to one article or another "proving" their point of view. I'm positive you know you are right. The experts and all the actual science says you are wrong, but you will point to something or other that refutes that, and you will probably invoke "corporations" or Monsanto to prove your point. There is no convincing you. You are just going to be wrong and there is nothing anyone can do about it because the internet will serve you any "facts" you need to prove your point.

Pot... meet kettle? ;)

I'm saying I can point you to some articles showing how the peer-review process can get way off course, leading to incorrect beliefs about particular topics... where the scientists involved are convinced of xyz, and will take an attitude much like yours, because they just know they are right. Look, the papers are right there in that journal! (Never mind the papers are wrong.)

I'm also saying - more back to the point - that due to the introduction of epigenetics, many of the ways we looked at how cells operate, or genes influence outcomes, etc. are now incorrect. I'm not saying I have some study or 'internet article' to back up my particular point on something.

I'm saying that fundamentally, the way biology works, neither I, nor the majority of scientists out there know what impact Bluetooth, or GMO foods, will have (until thorough studies are done). But, I can guarantee you that it WILL have an impact. That's the way biology works (unless we make yet some new discovery that overturns my thinking, as epigenetics has overturned your old way of thinking).

You shouldn't pity him you should be glad he's smart enough to question the safety of something that has never been a part of the human diet before.
What I do pity are people who unerringly believe everything the government tells you, completely ignoring the bribery, corruption and 'scientists' who are also paid off.
There is a reason that cancer, degenerative diseases, GI Tract diseases and food allergies have increased at an alarming rate the last 2 decades. Now what could be the reason? When exactly were GMOs first approved?........

Pot... meet kettle? ;)

You are correct, but folks like Treq will continue to think that ingesting poison continuously is fine because humans are apparently robots

I can understand a debate over whether we think GMO (in general) or some particular food is safe or not. What I don't get is someone who doesn't seem to understand modern biology, yet thinks science is on their side.

Here is a list of Monsanto inventions:
1. Saccharin

3. Ploystyrene
4. DDT
5. Dioxin
6. Agent Orange
7. Petroleum based fertilizer
8. Roundup(Glyphosate)
9. Aspartame
10. Bovine Growth Hormone
11. GMOs

Yeah, that's the company I want in control of our food supply
