Hi there fellas.

I've been having bad moment with my ipad pro. Actualliy I've been in an exchange streak with this device for a while now. First one had a gigantic color gradient in the screen, the next one had a dark stain in the LCD, then the following one had a piece of black dust under the glass and finally the one I have now does a clicking noise when I hold the bottom right side of the screen.

I've seen some posts about this issue but they are old and not very conclusive. It is really a defect, right? It kind of bothers me, I wish mine didn't make any noises but after so many replacements I'm fed up with this.

What did people end up doing in these cases?
The batch of the device is from october/november. Do newer batches still have the issue?

Sounds like the glass is not seated properly against the LCD display. It's almost like a popping noise, isn't it? Talk about a bad string of iPads for you. If your In a return period, return it. Otherwise, I would contact Apple and see if they can offer you a 'Replacement Unit.' Being you purchased yours when they first debuted, maybe pre-production first Gen issues.

Let us know what you find out.

It is like a popping noise yes but I don't see the glass sticking out off the edges, so not sure if that would be the case. The thing is I don't know if they are sending me units from old batches on purpose or if my country has only units from old batches...I'll try to talk to an advanced tech guy this time.

This is a very common occurrence with the 12.9 iPP. I had a few of them with this problem.

When you say warm you mean the whole screen ,no gradients I suppose?

How many tried did it take and did they acknowledge the clicking was a real problem?

Yes, the whole screen is just a touch on the warm side, but livable. I went through about four units that had clicking screens until I got this one.

Oh ****. So basically the same as me. And the apple folks, they didn't give you a hard time throughout the process then?

I have a clicking noise and if you press on the screen just above the home button you can hear/feel air coming out of the lightning connector port I brought it into Apple and a genius says the air flowing from the lightning connector is because it's such a big screen the clicking noise was not as important so I just live with it and tell reading this post had forgotten about it the last two months
My 12.9 iPad pro is from December 2, 2015

I couldn't stand it. It sounded like a defect in the manufacturing process to me. They all do not do this, though.

In my case I cant hear or feel any sort of air coming out from the connector. In fact it feels solid just above the home button. The problem is more towards the right side and it sounds like clicking really. It only happens in that area though. Left side is solid.

My clicking units had the spot on the left side and upper top (portrait).

So anyone else had any sort of recent experiences with ipad pros 12" and clicking screen?
