Brand New iPhone has issues what is ATT exchange policy

    I have a brand new 3GS iphone within 30 days for exhange. I am getting contradicting info from ATT call tech support they tell me to take it to an ATT store and exchange it, as did Apple Tech. Call ATT store they tell me no way that they have an agreement with Apple and I have to drive it 2 hours to an apple store or mail it in for a replacement????

    What is the deal?!?!? Damn thing has not worked right since I got it.

    I think it would be easier to either take it to apple or have them send you a box to send it in.
    With AT&T I get a different answer every time I talk to them about anything.
    They might try to charge you a restocking fee or all kinds of different crap.

    Hmmm...

    Maybe you should call Apple from the store parking lot, get a manager from Apple on the phone, walk into the store, get an AT&T Wireless manager and let them get their policies aligned. I've had to do this regarding an exchange and it made things go much more smoothly. Best luck!
