$1099 MacBook (2.1ghz, 1gb RAM)
-$100 Education discount
-$300 iPod Touch (return to apple)
-$100 printer (return to apple)

COMES OUT TO $600 + TAX!!!!!!

I doubt you will be able to return the last 2 items to Apple, but I am sure you could get good prices selling them on eBay.

Correct. The rebates on the printer and the ipod require the UPC codes, which will make returning it tricky. (Not to mention fraud?)

Just sell the ipod and the printer.

i bought it online and then i returned it to the Apple Store and recieved full refund to my credit card.

*blink*.... No.

Apple aren't giving you the iPod and printer for free; you buy them for their full price, then they rebate you the money.

So let's revise.

$1099 MacBook (2.1ghz, 1gb RAM)
-$100 Education discount
------
$999

+$300 iPod Touch
+$100 printer
------
$1399

-$300 iPod Touch rebate
-$100 printer rebate
------
$999

If you return the products to Apple, I'm sure they'll gladly refund you the full balance of $0.

Maybe I am completely missing something, but you are buying a computer that is discounted to $999, then purchasing a $299 iPod, and then a $100 printer. So before the rebates, you are paying $1398. Then they give you $399 on rebates bringing the price back down to $999. And if you return the iPod and printer, then you won't be able to get the rebates for them. You have to return the UPC code with the rebate, so in the end you will be paying $999.

why would apple accept a return on an ipod and printer with boxes that had been cut up to get the upc's to get the rebate? its not like they are stupid....

What did you do with the UPC codes?
That is the question

If Apple indeed took it back then:

1. The person taking it back at Apple was stupid
2. You committed fraud

Dude, return the MacBook too while you're at it. Quit your job and do this about 5 times a month. That's 1500 a month. Probably more than you make now.

Hey look what I just found in the terms and conditions of the Back-to-School promo!

If a product required for promotion redemption is returned and not exchanged for another qualifying product required for redemption, your rebate claim and any issued checks will not be honored.
