This thread is an epic fail in the making.
I wonder if Apple Legal could use MacRumors threads as evidence?

CDHFootball is that Cretin Derham Hall Football? As in private catholic High School in St. Paul with ridiculously good athletics? That have produced many, many pro athletes: Matt Birk, Joe Mauer etc...

"A Catholic co-educational high school committed to Christian values and academic excellence in grades nine through twelve."

If so, did you return it to the Southdale Apple Store or the MOA Apple Store?

hoping for failure

the OP and numerous others are probably going to slate me for saying this but.....

i truly hope that this fails, for the pure and simple reason is people who do this will ruin these promotions for everyone else, much like when the iPods were available on the education discount and because everyone abused it Apple canned the idea!

K so just do the same thing, but sell the items. I sold mine for less then new, and got myself the cheapest macbook pro in existence.

and thats legal.

indeed - that's totally legal -and totally different.

all this talk of bring it back and stuff. YOu cant bring back the items after a rebate has been issued and expect to get cash back for the item too. They have this thing called a cash register scanner..they scan the box and it says...rebate has been sent for item (not those exact words but you get the point)

This sounds a lot like the time I got a discount on a frozen pizza, actually. I put it in my backpack, and walked out of the store with it.
