Apparently these breakouts are quite common. I couldn't find footage but that was basically the most interesting part.

Thats what we need to happen. If they were willing to brawl over their bills I might be more apt to think they actually believe in their laws.

Just add a steel cage in the middle and let them go at it.:D

Whoa. That's some intense law making right there.

"Oh, the lawmakers don't seem to agree with each other, AND A HAYMAKER TO THE FACE."

Gah! I'm going to go crazy. I'm trying to remember the names of the two US politicians who were in a debate, and one made a complete fool of the other, so after the debate the one who lost walked into the others office and just beat the **** out of the other with his walking stick. Maybe happened during the reconstruction, I can't remember :/.

The Caning of Senator Charles Sumner by Representative Preston Brooks took place on May 22, 1856, about five years before the Civil War began.

Reminds me of the recent antics in the New York State Senate. If they weren't such girly-men, it could have happened here. (Although some of the elected thugs probably had Guido and the boys waiting in the limo outside.)

FYI - When a newly-formed Coalition seized power from the Democrats in charge, the Democrats hid the keys to the Chamber so the Coalition people couldn't get in to conduct business. It lasted almost 5 weeks, and the business of the State ground to a halt.
