I have a 2G iPhone with the 2.0.2 software. It was unlocked an jailbroken.

I sold it on eBay so I took to the "erase all data" option, which took about 2 hours. After this, the iPhone automatically restarted with the pinneaple boot logo. Now it won't get past that. It sits there for a couple of minutes, then gets a bit dimmer.

    Also, iTunes isn't recognizing it..so I can't restore.

Edit: Okay I see from some other threads that I can put it in DFU and restore. How long does a restore usually take?

Restore is about 10 minutes, no big deal.

Erase all data does exactly that. It erases all data, including the OS. It only makes sense that it wouldn't get past the boot logo. It's meant to be restored after you erase it.

Really? It doesn't say anything about that in the warnings. I would just expect it to put you back to where you are when you get it, locked etc.
