My JB iPhone 3GS has been working fine for months, but tonight it just got stuck on the Apple Logo.

I followed these steps to put the phone in recovery mode, but it's still stuck on the Apple logo:

1) Power off the iPhone by depressing both the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone and the home button. Wait for the iPhone screen to turn black aka screen-off.

2) Depress the home button and connect the iPhone/iPod sync cable into the docking port on the bottom of the iPhone at the sametime without removing pressure on the home button.

3) You should be able to see the Apple logo coming up on the iPhone and then the recovery screen with be shown after the Apple Logo.

I can't remember if the phone was on 3.1.1 or 3.1.2. It was jb with Blackrain.

Any ideas? This happened once before but the phone came back to life as soon as I connected it to the computer.

Getting desperate...

Thanks

I am having the same problem. My phone stuck on apple Logo.

I wanted to restore it but I wanted to make sure the baseband didn't update.

How can I restore it without updating the baseband ?
