It does not work with anything yet...

1. Apple have not yet released iOS 4.2 which is needed in iOS devices for AirPlay to work.

2. Manufacturers have not yet released any speakers that have AirPlay built in yet.

Well, I certainly hope that this could be accomplished through a new piece of hardware/software in connection with my existing zeppelin. I'm not sure I want to spend another $700 just so I can stream music to it, although this does sound like a whole bag full of awesomeness.

Great. Instead of updating the usability of Airtunes (Apple's most horrendously NON user-friendly device), I'm gonna have to get new speakers.

Seriously Apple, at least update the user manual for Airtunes, or install an update so the thing stops flashing yellow all the time.

People who use Airtunes (or who try to use Airtunes, as it's ridiculously and unnecessarily complicated) know exactly what I'm talking about.

I use AirTunes and have no idea what you're talking about

I think what this likely is is the first FairPlay license Apple has ever given. Streaming non-DRM content has been done. But this is the first time Apple is letting a 3rd party playback iTunes Store DRM content. So BridgeCo's software is mostly likely an implementation of FairPlay which can then be integrated into other products.

So will this work with airfoil as well...currently use air foil to stream spotify wirelessly to my docked iphone which acts as an airfoil speaker...with this new hardware would I be able to stream my spotify audio wirelessly to appropriately enabled speakers without docking my iphone which acts as a wireless speaker or plug an airport express into the speakers?

That would be sweet and save me having to dock and undock my phone whenever a call comes in..
