Is this a bug I should report or intended behavior? When I change the brightness or volume with the keyboard on my MacBook the screen doesnt show the slider with the level anymore.

M1 Max MBP here. They show on my desktop (in the upper right portion of the screen) most of the time, but it is very inconsistent. Volume display might be missing ~20% of the time.

It seems its a bug. if you have a usb-c dock connected with display outputs and there is nothing connected to those outputs, the display/volume change bubbles might not appear on the laptop display until you disconnect the dock.

On my MacBook Air M4, it's connected to an Asus 5K with a USB hub/dock built in via a single USB4 cable.

The volume control popup appears as expected here on both screens. If I open the lid of the MacBook, I can adjust the brightness of the MacBook screen with the keys and the brightness level popup appears on screen.
