I updated my 4S this afternoon problem free. Ever since the update for some reason the phone seems to take the brightness all the way as bright as it can or as dim as it can for no apparent reason. I can reset and in a little while if I go outside in the sun and come back in or etc it messes up. My 3rd generation iPad does not do this.

Anyone else with brightness problems on a 4S???

No but my preference is to turn auto brightness to 'off'

That's the auto brightness which is working now!

Just turn it off if it bothers you.

I have ALWAYS had the auto brightness on. This is a firmware bug. Yes, turning it off solves problem, but also makes for bright screen laying in bed at night. Auto setting has ALWAYS worked perfect until now.

I'm having no problems with it. the brightness is as low as it can go on my 4S and i'm lying in my bed using it right now.

I think it works better now than it did before.
