Brightness/Display Issue

I recently noticed the brightness panel on my 2014 13in rMBP was looking weird (screenshot attached). Does anyone know what is going on here? I haven't noticed any other graphics issues.

I had this issue for a while. I left it alone as it didn't break anything and looked interesting. It went away after a reboot.
