I am currently on my 3rd macbook charger and all 3 have sparked when the connection is made between charger and laptop on occasions. I previously haven't worried but I just semi-electrocuted myself with it and the charger left a burn mark on the side of my laptop.

Is it the laptop causing this problem or am i just extremely unlucky with chargers? Any suggestions what I should do?

Do you have sparking issue w/ any other devices in you house? Could be faulty circuitry in your laptop since you say its done this with other chargers. I would take it to an apple store. since this is a safety hazard they should help you out.

I've used it in different locations and it still does it so it must be the laptop then I guess. Will they still help out if I'm no longer under warranty?

They should replace the charger. Can you please post a picture of the burn mark?
