Just had the funniest conversation with an apple support guy - funny because he says that "categorically, using a British dictionary in pages in not a current feature". I'm dumbstruck by this ...

Last time i looked the British economy was the 5th largest in the world. Pages is on version 5 (?) ...

Crazy!! 😱😱😱

Is this actually true? 😱😱😱

The British dictionary is part of osx. Does pages not reference that when doing a spell check???

I've now found the solution! (See here ) and it lies in that even if you set your spelling region, you have to select SetUp from the Spelling pulldown - see part 4 of the link above ...
but crazy that apple didn't know how to solve the problem, and told me that having a British dictionary wasn't "a current feature"! As you can imagine, i was shocked, but he repeatedly said that he'd checked with colleages 😱

Anyway, if you're having problems with it, see the link above to sort them out!
