I have searched and have found references to the BCM94321MC card, I presume this is different to the BCM43XX ?

Have a flashed 4,1 to 5,1; wifi worked fine in Sierra, upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.6 and now the wifi icon looks like its searching all the time and doesn't show any wifi networks

If I go into System Report and select Network, WiFi I get the info below, as it shows up does that mean the hardware supported and I have a configuration glitch?

Any assistance would be most welcome, and apologises if this has been covered and my attempts to search werent good enough

[doublepost=1550160279][/doublepost]As a test created a fresh install of 10.13.6 to another drive and wifi is working fine, so clearly not a hardware issue

On my boot drive tried creating a new user and logging on as them, but same original issue

It's now fixed, so in case anyone else has the problem, this is what I did:

  1. Enter the following directory path into window and then click on “Go”
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
  2. Find and select the following files that are located within the now open SystemConfiguration folder
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    com.apple.network.eapolclient.configuration.plist
    com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist
    NetworkInterfaces.plist
    preferences.plist
  3. Deleted the files above and rebooted Mac (perhaps just in case make a backup of them first!)

I don't know why is not working as according to @dosdude1
IDs that DO NOT work under High Sierra:

- (0x14E4, 0x8C)
- (0x14E4, 0x9D)
- (0x14E4, 0x87)
- (0x14E4, 0x88)
- (0x14E4, 0x8B)
- (0x14E4, 0x89)
- (0x14E4, 0x90)

Any ID not listed, such as (0x14E4, 0x8D), is a supported card, and will work perfectly fine under High Sierra.
