iPhone XR Broke my XR, need a new iPhone tomorrow, what do I get???

Unfortunately smashed my screen on my 3.5 year old XR. Need a new phone tomorrow but not looking to spend a ton. What’s your opinion on best bang for your buck? FYI I have Verizon start unlimited plan. Will they for some ungodly reason take my broken phone as a trade in?? Please help, I’m going to Verizon/Apple tomorrow to get a new phone.

What’s your budget? Is iPhone 13 mini the one you like? Are you ok with iPhone 14? Or 13?

Your choices are limited by the amount you have to spend. Depend on how much less than a “ton” you are willing to spend, it sound like Your choice might be the SE.

If you're otherwise happy with the XR, Apple will replace the screen for $199.

A quick check with the Apple web site says they'll give you $50 trade-in for an XR with a broken screen, assuming everything else works.
