For the past week, my macbook pro has been having graphics problems, the screen is filled with noise but the computer will still play noises or music if they were playing before the occurrence. I attached a picture of the most recent happening. Along with the look attached, one time the screen was jumbled, for instance, things that should have taken 50 pixels in the top left of the screen, took up 2000 pixels in the bottom right.

The problem is not constant, it happened 4 times in the past week and after a restart, it appears that the laptop is fine until it happens again.

The specs are:
2.4 ghz Santa Rosa
1920x1200 matte screen

I already set up an appointment with a genius tomorrow but would much rather find a solution from the community than spend 15 minutes in line.

Thanks

Honestly, it looks like the Apple store is the best place for you right now. Especially if it still under warranty.
