I need some advice my back panel of my iphone has smashed. Is it best to get a proper repair, or buy a new panel on ebay? (How do you know if it's a genuine part?) Or should I sell it as faulty as I would be selling it anyway to upgrade to the 4S.

Google "broken iphone4 back glass" - watch videos, etc, then decide what you would like to do -

I think all the eBay back plates are third party. Only real way to make sure it's authentic is to get it replaced at the :apple: store.
