I have a new powerbook 15". The left arrow key that says home on it popped off. The "scissors" or "white plunger" mechanism is still attached to the key, and is in proper working order. How do I go about reattching the key? I already looked on apple.com/support, but the guide there seems to be only applicable of the scissor mechanism actually came off the key itself. Thanks so much, I dont want to have to take a trip to the apple store. :)

There must be a way to reattach the key!!!

oh man you are in for a treat. just kidding. you can fix it yourself it just very tedious work. detach the white scissor piece from the key itself ( look closely its just hooked in)and install it on your pb and follow the instruction on the website. it take a little finess to get it done. if you don't feel comfortable doing that bring to the genius bar as mentioned before.

Thanks for your help! I will probly go to the genuis bar, just because I dont want anything to snap off and then have it shipped out for the keyboard to be replaced.
Thanks again!

I think that's very smart thing taking your PowerBook to the Genius Bar. That's exactly what I would do, best to be safe. My wife had the same problem with her PowerBook.
