Broken, low-res album art in iTunes

I really wish Apple would fix this. It seems that no matter what you put into the album art manually, it will automatically replace that art with whatever it has in the iTunes store/Apple music, even if that art is incorrect or low res.

My library is full of stuff like this:

and...

If I delete the art, add my own high-res images, they stay there for about 30 seconds before being rewritten with this low-res stuff. They are clearly tiny thumbnails enlarged as full album art.

Anyone else have this problem? I have iTunes Match, but not Apple music.

I'd be a bit miffed if Alison was pixelated!

I've had issues off and on with iTunes doing that, randomly with both iTS and imported music. The only way I've found it to "stick" is to work on a proxy of the images in an iTunes Match library and update my images that way one at a time. A PITA. I can't offer any further help, other than to search for the method I've used elsewhere in these forums. I, too use iTM and not Apple Music.

One more noted item - your screen shot shows "14 songs, 55 minutes" under Supernature. I own the US/Japan import version - that version has 12 songs, adding "Beautiful" to the standard 11-song album (a total of 48 minutes), and I've seen the Lovely 2 C U remix by T. Raumschmiere added to those 12 songs on the iTS (I also own We Are Glitter) - what's the additional music, or are there other issues with your iTunes library that you're not aware of… Cheers!

Hmm. Mine goes to Beautiful (track 12), then has All Night Operator and Boys Will Be Boys. I think it's a rip of a New Zealand CD, but I can't remember (and the original CD is long gone).
