Basically I applied a tiny bit of pressure to the screen of my mac and now there is a crack in the right corner, the LCD is fine it's only the glass that is damaged, I can buy a new screen of eBay for 26£ but I don't want to fit it myself apple quoted me 500+ for the repair. How can I get it fixed paying less than 200£

What kind of mac do you have? Because if it's the iMac glass that has a crack, it's easy peasy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDciJHx4II4&t=0m48s

The glass is connected with magnets and pulls right off with a vacuum holder (for example your gps holder in your car). Just put the new glass back.

you only need to make sure you do it in a clean environment, and be careful. Not something you have to pay an apple employee $500 for.
